It’s pretty interesting to think of humans on an animal level. The sweating is to keep us cool while we run or fight. The adrenaline rush allows us to really push ourselves to run faster and further or fight that much harder. The hair standing up is supposedly a more ancestral thing, which would have helped us look bigger (like the arched cats). What I find interesting is that there’s a learned portion, but there also seems to be an inherent bit as well, when it comes to recognizing something as a “threat”. I had no idea that little girls were scary until seeing any horror movie ever.
