If it’s out there, not only would it be further than Pluto, it’d be hundreds of times further. I’m rooting for Tyche. It’ll be fun to have 9 planets again!

There was a hypothetical sun called Nemesis, but it’s pretty much been given up on. It would have been a red dwarf, also in the far reaches of the solar system.

One thing I found to be interesting was the fact that Nemesis and Tyche come from Greek mythology, whereas the other planets are mostly Roman deities. Maybe Uranus (a Greek God) was getting lonely.

They originally came up with the idea that it may be out there because of comet patterns that didn’t match up with their projected values.
